VILLAGERS are busy preparing for a flower festival.

The St John’s Church Flower Festival in Rowlands Castle will be held from September 5 to 8.

The event will be opened on the Thursday at 7.15pm by John Pickering, chairman of the parish council.

The church, in Redhill Road, will be open for viewing on the Friday from 10am to 5pm, on the Saturday from 9.30am to 3.45pm and on 
the Sunday from midday to 4pm.

There will also be several ticketed events, including demonstrations, a cream tea, a concert and a quiz and fish and chip supper.
