HAMPSHIRE-based theatre company Forest Forge will present its new production at Portsmouth’s Stacey Centre today.

From 2pm, the company will perform Bloom, which tells the story of one Hampshire family and their relationship with a garden over 100 years.

The theatre has been helping members of the public to transform the community centre in Walsall Road, Portsmouth.

The production is based on the real garden of Upton Grey Manor in Hampshire and features performances from local community groups from Centre Stage Academy of Theatre Arts, Baba Lee’s Lost Rhythm and pupils from Miltoncross School in Milton.

The drama is staged in four gardens throughout the centre as a promenade performance – the first of which is the volunteer-led Stacey Community Orchard.
