FORMER Petersfield schoolboy Michael Auger is hoping he won’t have to return to work after winning Britain’s Got Talent.

The 24-year-old won the talent show as part of five-piece group Collabro.

Michael, an ex-Churcher’s College student, was working part-time as a petrol station sales assistant.

He said: ‘I actually went back to work between the semi-final and the final.

‘There were posters up and everyone was so supportive.

‘Hopefully I won’t have to go back to work, I can just go back and say thank you to everyone who voted and do this as a career for now.’

The group, who formed only a month before their first audition for the show, impressed the judges and public with their harmonic renditions of songs from the musical Les Miserables including Stars and Bring Him Home.
