Fresh start for shop in bigger premises

Magician Dan Churchley from Southsea, will attempt to escape from a straitjacket whilst suspended 100 metres above sea level, upside down, beneath the Emirates Spinnaker Tower's glass floor Sky Walk. As well as captivating tower visitors, the stunt will also aim to raise money for CLIC Sargent, UKs leading cancer charity for children and young people.

THE Mayor of Havant will open a revamped charity shop in Waterlooville next week.

For years British Heart Foundation has been on the corner of London Road, but it has now outgrown that unit and has opened in bigger premises in The Precinct.

Cllr Paul Buckley and Mayoress Jackie Buckley will cut the ribbon to officially open the premises at 10am next Thursday.

Area manager Preston Davies said: ‘I’d like to thank the people of Waterlooville for their continual support since the shop was closed on March 15.

‘We’ve had an absolutely brilliant response receiving a range of quirky and unique items.’
