MONSTER fun is in store as an arts and heritage centre has a themed month.

The Spring in Havant is going monster-mad in February with lots of family activities taking place across the area.

The programme is part of the centre’s Beyond The Walls project and encourages families to get creative together.

To help everyone get in the monster-loving mood, The Spring has created 1,000 free craft packs that are available now in community and children’s centres and libraries across the Havant borough.

The packs are easy to do and contain the materials and simple instructions to make a cute mini-monster at home.

Two free events take place this weekend when people can make a monster and then take part in a storytelling session.

The events are from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday at Leigh Park Community Centre and on Sunday at the Acorn Centre, Wecock Farm.

Families can stay for as long as they like at the events.
