A GOSPORT company has helped one of its clients win a national training award.

Fedden USP, based in the town, provided training for Whitchurch-based Mobility Seating, which was highly commended at the South Central National Training Awards.

Lee McQueen, the 2008 winner of the BBC show The Apprentice, hosted the awards ceremony put on by the National Apprenticeship Service at Chichester College last month.

The company developed a customised training programme for Mobility Seating in March 2011, teaching workers about lean manufacturing.

It still provides continuous improvement teams at their client’s sites.

Mobility Seating specialises in the design and manufacture of seats for stairlifts and for stadiums.
