SHOPPERS can buy good quality second hand furniture which helps a vital hospice at the same time.

The Rowans Hospice will open its Farlington warehouse Monday to Saturday following successful monthly sales.

The warehouse is in Marshlands Road, Farlington, next to Sainsbury’s and is open 9.30am to 4.30pm.

As well as furniture there is also a wide range of books and bric-a-brac at reasonable prices. A team of volunteers has been working hard to get the warehouse ready for the grand opening today .

Vanessa Gilding, facilities manager for The Rowans Hospice, in Purbrook, said: ‘Our shops have proven to be a good source of income for the Hospice and we really appreciate the support from our local community.

‘It is an exciting development to have our warehouse open six days a week to boost the existing income from our shops. We can also accept donations of good quality items throughout the week.’
