ORGANIC food, local ales and fantastic music are just some of the treats at a fair next month.

Plans are well under way for the South Downs Green Fair, which will be held at The Sustainability Centre in East Meon, near Petersfield.

Guests will include Brigit Strawbridge, who has appeared on the BBC show It’s Not Easy Being Green.

Entertaining the crowds will be circus act Juggling Jake, drum band Batala and there will be nature-based storytelling by Jonathan Huet.

There will be more than 100 stalls to look around.

Christine Seaward, from the Sustainability Centre said: ‘The fair is organised to raise funds in support of the work of the Earthworks Trust who run centre.

‘It applies a holisitic practical and creative approach to education which explores the value of the natural world.’

The fair takes place on Sunday, May 10 from 10am to 5pm.
