SEVEN members of a gym will be taking part in the record breaking race this weekend.
The team from Power House Fitness, in Havant, have been training hard with the goal of completing the race in mind but with very different reasons for doing it.
Mel Mason will be supporting the RNLI when she runs tomorrow.
She said: ‘Myself, husband and friends spend a lot of time either on the water or under the water scuba diving.
‘The sea is a very powerful place and takes no prisoners.
‘It is always nice and reassuring to know that if needed the RNLI are there for you.’
Another member is running for the Stroke Association two years after his wife suffered a major stroke.
Duncan Teasdale, Power House owner, will also be running.
