A 12-YEAR-old girl is having her hair cut tomorrow to give it to a charity that makes wigs for children being treated for cancer.

Rebecca Young, a Year 8 pupil at Brookfield Secondary School, is having the trim for The Little Princess Trust at midday at Mr Menz Hairdressers in Barnes Lane, Sarisbury Green.

Rebecca said: ‘I wanted to do something special to help other people this Christmas.

‘I do feel nervous but I feel really excited about how a young girl will be able to look as a result.

‘I’m going to have 14 inches cut off, so this will hopefully make two wigs from my hair.’
