Have your say

ANIMAL lovers are being asked to think of those without a home this Christmas and donate a toy.

The Stubbington Ark animal shelter in Ranvilles Lane, Stubbington, has launched a toy box appeal in aid of pets that will be spending the festive season at its adoption shelter this year.

Staff are asking for donations of new toys to the shelter to cheer up the homeless animals over the festive period.

Vanessa Eden, head of fundraising, said: ‘It’s lovely for the animals to receive Christmas gifts too – toys help make their shelter stay more stimulating for them.

‘As we receive no government funding, we rely on the generosity of our supporters and all donations will be really welcome. We’d also like to say a big thank you for all the fantastic support we’ve received over the past year.

‘You will find our toy box at the Stubbington Ark, so please come along a make our animals really happy by donating a cat nip fish, rubber ball or even a bell for our aviary birds.

‘Alternatively, if you can persuade your friends and family to donate too, we can come and collect larger quantities.’

The Ark is open seven days a week, from 10am to 4pm.

To arrange a collection, call Vanessa on 01329 666916 or 07880 926751.
