A FAMILY from Havant could be jetting off on a luxury £10,000 holiday to Florida, but they need your help.

Alex Watts, 37, and her son who is also called Alex, 13, are urging readers of The News to vote for them in the Vosene competition by visiting its website.

They are currently in second place, but with only a handful of votes difference they hope they can take the lead with the help of fellow readers.

If they won, the pair would be sent to Orlando with friends Debbie and Jerry Mcbride and their two boys Joe and Ethan.

It was actually the Mcbrides that entered their family photo into the national competition, but Alex has been helping collect votes.

Mum Alex said: ‘We’ve been asking everyone we know to vote, and sending out the link on facebook to all of our friends and family.

‘I’ve even made flyers and we were handing them out at Tesco.

‘It would mean everything for us to win – we haven’t been on a holiday since 2003.

‘We’ve been so excited and haven’t been able to sleep because we’ve been so busy trying to drum up support.’

Voting is free and closes at midday tomorrow, Friday October 14.
