RECORD numbers turned out for fun and laughter at Havant’s annual town fair.
St Faith’s Church, which is at least 900 years old, became the centre of attention on Saturday with wonderful displays of singing and dancing.
There were dozens of stalls for people to browse, selling everything from cakes to home-made crafts.
The entertainment was provided by Dynamo Youth Theatre and Gemsdance School.
It is hoped the event will have raised about £3,000 to help pay to renovate the church and provide a new welcoming area in the entrance.
Organiser Fiona Hedley said: ‘It’s been absolutely amazing this year.
‘I don’t think I have ever seen so many people at a town fair.’
