OWNERS celebrated the opening of their trendy new cafe overlooking the Solent last night.
Community leaders also came together to celebrate the launch of Southsea Beach Cafe.
The long-awaited new venue, near the derelict South Parade Pier, promises to inject new life into the seafront area during the summer.
The cafe offers diners breakfast, lunch and dinner and food is sourced locally.
As reported, work on the cafe began earlier this year and it was last month granted a licence to sell alcohol on the premises.
It was opened last week, but last night’s event gave everyone the chance to come together and celebrate.
Cllr Luke Stubbs, who represents Eastney and Craneswater, said: ‘The level of custom so far appears to be positive.’
