LETTER OF THE DAY: Hope I don’t end up in an ‘uncaring’ care home

LITTLE Amelia Hale loved her first trip to Staunton Country Park while on holiday with her aunt and uncle.

The five-year-old fed a goat and rode a donkey with Kevin, 40, and Louise Burnop, 43, of Westlands Drive, Cherque Farm, in Lee-on-the-Solent. Amelia said: ‘I cuddle it. I gave it some food. It tickled my hand. He nibbled it.

‘We went on the donkey.

‘It was fun. It was nice and soft. The donkey was cheeky.

‘It was moving its head.’

Amelia, from Yorkshire, had been in the area with her mum who had to go to work.

Her uncle Kevin added: ‘We just wanted to try and find a few things that would keep her busy that didn’t cost a lot.’
