SAMARITAN’S Purse is calling on people in Portsmouth to help its Operation Christmas Child campaign reach a milestone.

The charity hopes to deliver its 100 millionth gift-filled shoebox during this year’s campaign after delivering 94 million to needy children across the world over 22 years.

It is asking people in the community, from churches to schools, to think of creative ways to reach the target in time for November 18 – the final date for donors to hand in their gift-filled shoeboxes.
