A SHELTERED housing scheme marked its 30th anniversary at a ceremony attended by the Mayor of Gosport.

Fortune House, in Chilworth Grove, celebrated the long running service on Friday, October 26.

Local youth group, Loud and Proud, helped man the event, making residents cups of tea and spent time talking to them.

Gary Elshaw, who runs the home, said: ‘Loud and Proud were incredible, just such a help.

‘We’ve turned from being an older person’s home to being a social hub in the area.’
