SHAPING government policies on capital funding to schools, Graham Olway is committed to education.
And now he has been awarded an MBE for his work as the chairman of the Education Building Development Officers Group.
The 49-year-old, of Widley, Waterlooville, works with local authorities, liaising between them and the Department for Education since 2006 as chairman.
He said: ‘I’m incredibly humbled by it and very proud.
‘You never expect it, these things are meant to be a surprise and it certainly was.
‘It was a bolt out of the blue saying thank you.’
