THESE young actors put on a brilliant performance for their delighted families.

The Merchistoun Minnows pre-school put on a Royal Performance for the end-of-term show.

Each child dressed up in fine regalia to sing nursery rhymes including The Grand Old Duke of York, Humpty Dumpty and Old King Cole.

At the end of the show the children were joined by the 140-strong audience in a rendition of a dance version of The Grand Old Duke of York.

Afterwards cream teas, jam tarts and coffees were served by the Queen of Hearts who starred in the show.

Sue Peach, manager of the pre school, based at Merchistoun Hall, Horndean, said: ‘The children did us proud and put on a fantastic show.’
