CHARITIES from across the region are being encouraged by the UK’s biggest housebuilder to enter a competition to win a new house worth up to £250,000.

Persimmon Homes South Coast is celebrating its 40th anniversary by giving one lucky regional charity the chance to win a three-bedroom detached house with a garage to help with their fundraising activities, and also giving a further 23 runners-up a £6,000 donation.

Andrew Golawski, the managing director of the company, said: ‘We are calling on local people to nominate the causes close to their hearts and tell us why that charity deserves the prize.’

All nominations must be received at by July 18 and the winning organisation will be announced at a Persimmon Homes birthday charity lunch in September.
