MUSIC lovers were treated to an organ performance from Dr David Price at the Farlington Music Festival.

Dozens enjoyed the show at Portsmouth’s Anglican Cathedral, which featured pieces by Handel, Travers, Morricone and Buxtehude.

Dr Price is organist and master of the choristers at Portsmouth Cathedral.

His performance was part of a series of events at the festival, including a performance of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe by Opera Comique earlier the same day. The leading role was played by Alison Jerome.

The weekend festival also boasted a performance from Elizabeth Holland and friends who presented their show, Now That’s What I Call a Musical volume two.

And The Maury Deans Big Band presented a concert of music for the big band including pieces arranged by such names as Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Oscar Hammerstein and Benny Goodman.
