AVID fans of The Hunger Games got their paintbrushes out to put their mark on a mural inspired by the books.

The free event outside Waterstones in Fareham Shopping Centre was organised by the Ashcroft Art Centre as a part of the National Big Draw scheme.

A mural was created outside the centre on Saturday, with fans given the chance to take part.

The theme of The Big Draw in Fareham was based on the popular fiction series by Suzanne Collins.

The day gave everyone who took part the opportunity to get creative and express what the book means to them.

Centre manager Mike Taylor said: ‘It was pleasing to see how popular this event was, particularly with our younger customers who enjoyed painting and working together to produce some fantastic artwork.

‘The Ashcroft Art Centre did a great job in running this event, which was very well received.’
