DOZENS of youngsters enjoyed a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in Southsea.
The event on Saturday, at Castle Field, in Southsea, saw colourful characters from Alice in Wonderland delight little ones.
And the youngsters took part in a wide range of activities, including entering a cake decorating competition.
All the cash taken at the festival of fun goes to Cystic Fibrosis Kids of Portsmouth, a charity supporting youngsters with the condition.
The final total amount raised has not been counted yet.
It was the third annual tea party, organised by Becki Short, 22, of Frensham Road, in Fratton.
‘It’s a local charity and we want to keep supporting it,’ she said.
‘Everyone who has been here has been enjoying it.
‘We’ve had loads of performances from the characters but also from loads of different local performers.’
She added the party had been lucky to survive the strong winds during the event, which ran from midday to 5pm on Saturday.
She said: ‘It started out alright and there were guys still there at the end.
‘We’ll try and do it again, we’re considering moving to an inside location next year.’
