A YOUTH worker and her partner are set to cycle 5,000 miles for the charity she works for.

Alex Cuppleditch, 28, will undertake the gruelling challenge from the east to west coast of America for Motiv8.

She will be joined by boyfriend Andrew Dickson, 29, and their adventure begins in May.

Alex, from Southsea, said: ‘We’ll start in New York before cycling to Oregon in the north west and down to LA along the Pacific coastline.’

Motiv8 is a charity working in the Portsmouth and surrounding areas.

Alex added: ‘We endeavour to change the lives of young people by building positive relationships and support them through whatever daily challenges arise.

‘I’ve only worked within this charity for a year but totally respect the work that they do and feel strongly about the positive effect they have on the community and its people.’
