THE work of an award-winning artist is to be exhibited at a gallery.

The Oxmarket Centre of Arts, in Chichester, hosts an exhibition featuring the work of Polish Agata Wojcieszkiewicz.

Her unique approach to portraiture has earned her many accolades and commissions.

She is a figurative painter specialising in oil and acrylic technique and is based at Making Space Community Arts Centre, in Bishopstoke Road, in Leigh Park.

Agata said: ‘My art is like a journal – a reflection of the very intimate process of picturing memories and emotions.’

In 2012 – 2013 her portrait of an artist friend, Anita Bell, was exhibited in The National Portrait Gallery in London, Edinburgh and Exeter as a part of BP Portrait Award.

The exhibition is in the Wilson Studio Gallery at Oxmarket, off East Street.

It runs from October 14 to 27. It is free and open to the public from Tuesday until Sunday 10am to 4.30pm.
