THE Spinnaker Tower is offering people the opportunity to light it up in a colour of their choice to help fundraise for charity.

Running throughout January, people can light the tower for a special occasion, birthday or cause, where all donations will go to The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust.

Ellie Stokes, PR executive at the Spinnaker Tower said: ‘Lighting the tower is such a unique opportunity. We always have people asking if they can do it, so we thought we’d make it possible.

‘We’ve had people book already with one lady asking to light the tower blue for her mum’s 90th birthday. It’s a great opportunity and all for a great cause.’

The tower is available to light for private hire during the year for £150, but is accepting minimum donations of £25 throughout January.

All donations will be made to The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust whose work helps to engage disadvantaged young people through mentoring with world-class athletes.

To book a date call the tower on (023) 9285 7520.
