LISTEN: Man calls 999 complaining that Debenhams refuse to change purchase
A nuisance caller made the idiotic call 24 hours after the security threat level in Britain was raised to critical.
West Midlands Police said in the same time period in the wake of the Manchester Area bomb they also had emergency calls about spilt paint, a bale of hay on the pavement and a picnic in a park.
The force released audio footage of a shopper telling police he is in Debenhams and is not happy that they are refusing to change an item.
The call handler says: "Are you telling me that you're in Debenhams and the staff won't change an item for you?"
