A PENSIONER has transformed her house into a magical winter wonderland.

Veteran fundraiser Julie Scarborough is inviting people of all ages to her home on Saturday.

Julie and her volunteers have created a Christmas grotto.

She said: ‘We have got a lovely Father Christmas and a beautiful grotto. Everyone is welcome – from nought years to over 100 years. We have presents for everyone.’

The grotto will be open from 11am to 5.30pm and there is singalong room where the children can play instruments before they meet Father Christmas.

There will be a room full of toys, books and clothes for sale at low prices.

Funds from the day will go to Naomi House Children’s Hospice and The Rowans Hospice, Queen Alexandra Hospital’s Rocky Appeal, St Paul’s Church, Paulsgrove and Cancer Research UK.

Entry of £2 covers the whole event, presents and refreshments. It is at 9 The Crest, Widley, 400 yards from the A3.
