WONDERFUL hampers, prizes and delicious homemade cakes are on offer at a church’s Christmas fete.

Sacred Heart and St Peter Apostle Church in London Road, Waterlooville, will welcome the public from 9.30am to midday to raise funds on Saturday.

Elizabeth White, one of the organisers, said: ‘Father Christmas will be in his grotto with presents for the children.

‘And there will also be a painting competition for them which leaves mums and dads free to enjoy some Christmas shopping at the gift stall.

‘We have coffee and mince pies, too.’

Visitors can win cash prizes, there are also Christmas cakes for sale and face-painting for the children.

Councillor Marjorie Smallcorn, mayor of Havant, will open the fete.

Entry and parking are free but visitors are welcome to donate to The Rowans Hospice bucket.
