STUNNING craft work from artists across the country form a major new exhibition.

Vessels is on at craft centre Making Space, in Leigh Park, until Friday.

It attracted a lot of interest at the private view.

Ami Lowman, from Making Space, in Bishopstoke Road, said: ‘The Vessels private view was a huge success.

‘It was great to meet so many of the contributing artists who attended, some of whom had travelled from as far as Bristol and Birmingham.

‘Everyone was hugely impressed with the exhibition which showcases some extraordinarily talented crafts people from across the country.’

Artists include Naty Lopez-Holguin, Elena Ristovska, Tanya Gomez and Francisca Onumah.

‘The quality of the work on show is superb and showcases how well the artists responded to the title theme in such a variety of ways,’ added Ami.

‘We are incredibly proud of the exhibition and encourage as many people to attend this week as possible.

‘Its a chance to see some amazing high-end craft and also take advantage of the fact lots of it is for sale.

‘I know we’ve all got our eyes on a piece or two!’

The show is open to the public until October 31.

Doors are open each day from 10am until 4pm and entry is free.
