A KITTEN from Southsea has been crowned the UK’s cutest kitten.

Eevee, a kitten owned by Emma Green, of Southsea, won the title in The Great British Pet Show, the UK’s first national fun pet show run on the new Qtsy phone app.

The app allows pet owners to put their pets forward for online pet shows, vote on other entries, and win points and prizes.

The app was created by TV vet Joe Inglis who is best known from Vets in Practice and as the resident vet on ITV’s This Morning.

Emma, 25, said: ‘I saw the competition advertised on Facebook and downloaded the app.

‘I just wanted to do it for fun. It seemed really interesting.’

After submitting a photo of Eevee in the bath, Emma found out that her picture had received the most votes and that she had won £75 for having the UK’s cutest kitten.

Joe said: ‘It’s such a cute picture of Eevee, even if she’s looking a bit wet and bedraggled.

‘We had over 1,000 entries from across the country, and an amazing 200,000 votes cast on the free Qtsy app, so it’s a real achievement to win.’

Emma has had Eevee for 10 months, and got her from a breeder in the New Forest.

She says that the kitten has never been afraid of the water and that is why she submitted the photo of Eevee in the bath.

‘She is not scared of water. When she was younger she would get in the shower when it was on,’ added Emma.

‘She has got a lot of character.’

Emma is still submitting photos of Eevee to competitions on the Qtsy app.

‘I used to do a lot better when she was younger but she has won cat of the week and came third in another one,’ she added.
