A NEW class aimed at helping people find their inner confidence is starting in the city.

Spinnaker Speakers, at Sellers Coffee House, on Kent Road, Southsea, will help people improve their leadership and communication skills.

These skills can be essential in everyday life, whether it be for a job interview, a presentation at work or just for social conversation.

The free workshop takes place at 7pm next Monday and everyone is welcome.

Spinnaker Speakers is part of Toastmasters International – a world-leading organisation in communication and leadership development.

There are 13,000 clubs and 270,000 members worldwide, who improve their skills through a number of networking events and workshops.

As part of these sessions, participants are asked to take part in activities to hone their speaking and
leadership skills in a non-pressured environment.

Keith Oliver, organiser of the meeting, said ‘No matter what level of speaker or leader you are, you will find something in Toastmasters to improve you, in a safe, friendly and supportive atmosphere.’
