The Maury Deans Big Band will present a concert from 7.30pm on Saturday, including pieces arranged by Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Oscar Hammerstein and Benny Goodman.

At 3pm Sunday, Opera Comique will give a concert performance of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe featuring Alison Jerome in the title role. The performance is directed by Kevin Sivyer and the accompanist will be Nigel Smith.

The festival started last week and runs for four consecutive weekends until October 16.
