PENNY Mordaunt will be celebrating British movies as she makes an appearance at a film festival.

The Portsmouth North MP will be visiting the Groundlings Theatre to celebrate the Brit Flick Film Festival.

The festival is back for a third year.

It shows the best in UK short films, features and documentaries.

Penny said: ‘I’m delighted to be part of the film festival and to support the creative industries in Portsmouth.

‘I’m hoping I might get some popcorn too.’

The day includes an industry insight with guest speakers from casting directors, producers, film and TV directors and actors.

Tickets for the day are £10 for adults, £8 for concessions, students and equity members and £6 for children.

It will take place on Sunday, May 11, from 11am until 4pm.
