A WEEK-LONG music festival got off to a brilliant start with music bursting from every corner of the town.

The annual Waterlooville Music Festival kicked off with bands and musicians lining the town centre as part of the one-day Market Place Music, organised by Waterlooville Business Association.

And over in St George’s Church, where the festival is based, the annual fete was a huge success.

Father Mike Sheffield, one of the organisers, said: ‘The whole place was buzzing with people and music.

‘Everywhere you went, from outside the shops, the supermarkets and even the police station, there was music.

‘It was just fantastic.’

There are still tickets available for tonight’s Bollywood Experience at 7.30pm. Go to stgeorgesnews.org/wmf.
