Have your say

I was five or six years old. My sister and I woke to a dog in the front room.

We’d always wanted a pet and we thought our Christmas wish had been answered.

We found out later that our parents had taken it in the night before off the streets and the owner had been called to collect it.

We were devastated.

I do feel that the point of Christmas has gone.

It’s plastic, and as you get older, it’s magic when you were a child simply vanishes. It’s sad but true.
