THE organisers of a black tie charity event being held tonight in memory of a woman who died from cancer have thanked everyone who has helped to make it happen.
The sold-out evening at the Royal Maritime Club will raise money for the CLIC Sargent Cancer Trust in memory of Ali Peart, pictured, who died aged 22 three years ago.
Organiser Hannah Young will be running the Great South Run in memory of Ali and will be donating money raised from this evening’s event rather than asking for people to sponsor her.
It is being held for people to have a memorable evening whilst remembering Ali, who was an ‘inspirational young lady’.
Ali’s family have all helped in selling the 150 tickets for the sold-out event and would also like to thank Sweet Creations, The Semitone Kings, Clintons and the Card Factory for their help and generosity.
