Get yourself out and about in the Portsmouth region this weekend.

Whether you are an individual, with friends or a family, the following nine activities will surely enlighten your weekend.

The weather is forecast to be bright on Saturday with cloud and occasional sunshine throughout Sunday.

1 - Mary Rose Museum

Friday saw the museum welcome its one millionth visitor since it opened two years ago. If you haven’t been to explore the rich history of the ship then ensure you do so over the weekend. However, if you have been before, go again!

2 - Emirates Spinnaker Tower

Are you brave enough to explore the glass floor and have a birds eye view of Portsmouth? If your answer is yes then go for it!

3 - Gunwharf Quays

With new premium shops to check out, Gunwharf Quays is also packed with restaurants, ensuring you have a great day.

4 - Old Portsmouth

Old Portsmouth doesn’t only offer great pubs and restaurants, but you can enjoy the Square Tower, Round Tower and a breath-taking sea view for free!

5 - Portsmouth Cathedral

Fancy peace and quiet? This is where it is at.

6 - Staunton Country Park

Plenty of space to run around, have a picnic and feed some strange and wonderful animals...

7 - Canoe Lake

Who is up for crabbing, an ice cream, or maybe some chips? Canoe Lake is a great place which will certainly accommodate families and large groups.

8 - Clarence Pier

It is not quite Thorpe Park or Altern Towers...

Although it is sure to bring a smile to your face and entertain the young ones. If it is raining, that’s okay, just stock up on plenty of pennies and enjoy the penny machines.

9 - Southsea Castle

Portsmouth has vast history and this is a brilliant place to start.
