THE first meeting of Old Portsmouth Men’s Shed has taken place.

The meeting was held at Cathedral House at Portsmouth Anglican Cathedral.

It was chaired by the founder, Andrew Pottinger, and supported by Canon Peter Leonard and Rev Mark Tariq.

Everyone who attended the meeting signed up to join the new shed – part of the worldwide Men’s Sheds movement.

Men’s Sheds provide a place where men can make friends, share their hobbies and complete tasks both for themselves and to benefit the community.

Accommodation has been offered for the shed, close to the cathedral and large enough to house the equipment and tools.
