AN INTERNATIONAL rock star took a trip down memory lane to visit a holiday camp.

Status Quo’s Rick Parfitt met up with some old friends at Mill Rythe Holiday Village on Hayling Island ahead of the band’s Quofestive 2011 Christmas tour with Kim Wilde and Roy Wood.

Parfitt was visiting his old haunts with a film crew in tow for a new film about the life and times of Status Quo. The film, entitled Hello Quo, is being directed by Alan G Parker, who directed the film Who Killed Nancy? a movie about the relationship between Nancy Spugeon and the Sex Pistols’ Sid Vicious.

The ageing rocker lived above the Hudson bar in the early 1960s at Mill Rythe Holiday Village, when it was a Sunshine Holiday Camp.

He was in a band called The Highlights with the Harrison Sisters, Jean and Gloria.

The twins joined him to reminisce last month.

The film, which has the working title Hello Quo, is set for release in October 2012.
