COMMUNITY groups are being offered the chance to win all the essentials for their Christmas party.

People organising events in a village hall, community centre or nursing home are being urged to enter a competition to win one of 100 party packs, filled with crackers, paper plates, paper cups, balloons, napkins and tablecloths for up to 50 people.

The lucky 100 winners from across the country will also be given £100 worth of vouchers to spend on party food at The Co-operative – which is running the competition.

People who enter the competition are being asked to describe why their community deserves to win a party.

Helen Nunn, from The Co-operative Food, said: ‘We want to lend a helping hand to those looking to keep the community spirit alive over the festive period by organising a party for their local community group or neighbourhood.’

Entries must be received by Tuesday, November 20. For more information or to enter the competition, see
