BAKERS should stand by their ovens as a baking competition returns to a community centre.

The bake off is being held at Titchfield Community Centre in Mill Street on Saturday, March 19, from midday until 4pm.

The contest includes categories for all ages, from decorating biscuits for the under fives to signature bakes for the more experienced. There will also be categories for men, WI members, Titchfield Community Centre user groups and Titchfield businesses.

Professional demonstrations on all kinds of aspects of baking – even low-calorie – will be given on the day and kids can have a go at decorating cupcakes, painting Easter eggs and making sugarcraft.

Entrance costs £2 and includes a drink and cake, under 12s free.

Entry forms are available at the Community Centre office, or at titchfieldcommunitycentre.weebly.com and they must be returned by Friday, March 11.

Fee for the contest is 50p per class payable on the day.
