TRAFFIC police pulled over a car on the M275 because it was driving erratically – only to find a woman giving birth in the passenger seat.

Tiffany Ellmore and her dad Colin were speeding towards Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham in June 2014 when the 26-year-old suddenly went into labour.

At the same time, four unmarked police cars from the roads policing unit were heading down the motorway after finishing their shift.

But when the officers spotted the car driving fast and weaving between lanes, they grew suspicious and pulled them on to the hard shoulder. Instead of a car full of criminals, they found Colin delivering his grandaughter Lola-Mia Read.
