TWO police officers are travelling abroad to mark officers who have died on duty.

Hampshire police’s Sgt Jason Parry and Sgt Louise Coughlin will go to Washington DC in America.

It is part of National Police Week in the country, which runs from May 14 to 21.

Tens of thousands of officers from around the world take part in the memorial. Peace Officers Memorial Day is held on May 15.

The two officers will join other British officers as part of an honour guard for survivor families.
