ARTS and crafts enthusiasts displayed their work to raise money for charity at Portchester Parish Hall.

The Roundabout Art Group were joined by five other groups including The Portchester Library Craft Group and The Crossway Carvers to make some cash for the Rowans Hospice.

Member Richard Ashworth said: ‘Everyone had fun and raised around £320 which is a significant amount of money for the hospice.’

To raise the funds groups and individuals put their work up for sale and visitors donated whilst at the exhibition.

‘We sold a lot of craft items and some groups sold some of their work,’ said Richard.

The show was visited by Fareham MP Suella Fernandes.

‘We didn’t know that she was coming, she stayed for over an hour and seemed to enjoy herself,’ added Richard.
