MOVE over JK Rowling, there’s a new fantasy novelist in town – and she’s only 12!

Wordsmith Jessica Wise can’t stop smiling after having her first book published.

Jessica, who attends Admiral Lord Nelson School in Portsmouth, spent her summer holidays perfecting her novel, Inferno, which is a fantasy thriller about two girls.

‘Ever since I was eight, I have loved writing,’ said Jessica, of Farlington Road, North End.

‘When I heard you could make a living out of it, I was excited.’

Jessica is now working on a sequel.

Her mum Sue Wise said: ‘We are over the moon. If she’s doing this at 12 you wonder what she will be doing at 20.’
