CYCLISTS have been invited to Portsmouth Cycle Forum’s next meeting.

The get-together on July 10 will focus on road safety.

Last month The News revealed the forum’s findings show Portsmouth’s roads are among the most dangerous in the country for cyclists.

Jon Spencer, the chairman of the forum, said: ‘If you think the roads in Portsmouth need to be safer for cyclists then please come to this meeting.

‘Portsmouth City Council officers will present their view on the cycle casualties and their plan for dealing with them.’

Angela Johnson of Hampshire Constabulary will talk about speed watch.

The meeting is at 7pm, first floor meeting room of the John Pounds Centre, 23 Queen Street.
