A CHARITY football game will be held on Saturday to raise money for two worthy causes.

Graham Turner, of Park Gate, Fareham, lost his mother Diane Turner to cancer in April 2012.

He has held an annual five-a-side match for the past three years in her memory and to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie. Mr Turner explained how when his mother passed away he ‘made the commitment to her that I would do something’.

A total of 100 players will be involved in Saturday’s event and every player is encouraged to donate a minimum of £10 to play an hour session.

It is being held at Goals Portsmouth and kick-off is at 10am.

Those interested should register with Goals reception at Portsmouth on (023) 8018 0200 or contact Graham Turner on the public Facebook event page.
