PORTSMOUTH-born Josh Cuthbert will perform in front of millions tonight when his act Union J takes part in the first of The X Factor live shows.

The 20-year-old was born in St Mary’s Hospital in Milton Road, Milton, and attended St Jude’s School in Southsea and Kingscourt School in Catherington before his family moved to Windsor when he was five.

The foursome were chosen for the finals by judge Louis Walsh after performing at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, as seen in last weekend’s show on ITV1.

Josh’s proud mum Kathryn Browne said: ‘He’s wanted that lucky break and now we are very excited.

‘They have a got a good chance in the competition. They look great and can sing.

‘They were on Radio 1 on Monday and have appeared on Daybreak.

‘It has been a bit weird seeing him on television.’
