AN HMP Kingston employee hanged himself weeks before the prison closed its doors, a coroner has heard.

Aaron White, who was 27, was found in a shed at the back of his family home by his mum and sister, Portsmouth Coroner’s Court heard on Tuesday.

Paramedics were called to his home in Tangier Road
at around 3.40pm on March 12 but Aaron had already passed away.

A number of family members were present in the court as coroner David Horsley recorded a verdict of suicide.
